Scents of Place: A Guided Journey

Presented by the City of Adelaide and Smell Art for Nature Festival, Scents of Place – A Guided Journey is an intimate, immersive tour through the vibrant smellscape of the Central Market and Chinatown.

When: Thursday, 25th September: 10am & 2pm
Friday, 26th September: 10am, 2pm & 4pm

Duration: Approximately 1 hour

Where: Adelaide Central Market, Corner of Moonta Street and Gouger Street

Led by Melbourne-based scent specialist Erin Adams (Smell Art), this unique sensory experience explores how scent shapes memory, flavour, and our sense of place. From fragrant spices and pungent cheeses to local honey and delicate teas, participants will journey through the aromatic ingredients that define this iconic precinct.

Along the way, Erin shares stories, insights, and scent-based prompts that invite you to slow down, tune in, and literally stop to smell the stories of our city.

Each ticket includes a small goody bag featuring delicious local treats.
